Group Chairman

Belonging to one of UAE's well-known business families, Mr. Mohammad is the eldest son of the late Mr. Omar Ali Bin Haider and the principal member of the Bin Haider family. After completing high school, he joined his father who was already a prominent businessman, in running the family business.

In 1968, he established Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Group (MOBH). Over the last 45 years, the Group has grown to be one of the leading business houses in the UAE, with stellar ventures in Real Estate, Property Management, Hospitality, Engineering & Contracting, Warehousing, Industrial Equipment Trading, Education and Portfolio Investment.

As a pioneer and leading member of the business community, Mr. Mohammad Omar Ali Bin Haider has held various positions in local and international institutions over the years.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Hakam Khalil obtained a Master’s Degree as Post Graduate in Engineering and Business Management. As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MOBH Holding Group, Mr. Hakam’s strengths lie in his strategic planning to improve the growth and expansion of the group locally, regionally and globally. He is instrumental in proposing sustainable solutions to any management challenges faced by the group & its subsidiaries, whilst eliminating any risks.

Throughout the years of his broad professional working experience in the UAE and abroad gaining invaluable knowledge in strategic investments and asset management at various business levels, he is continually using his wealth of business knowledge to achieve specified goals for the benefit of the group whilst concentrating on the deployment of capital for long-term use in generating more revenue. His knowledge is also evident in the acquisition of properties in both the local and international market where his strong banking background in International Business Relations come to the fore. Furthermore, with his reputable business acumen, he manages a significant number of roles within the group which facilitates the launch of new businesses & restructuring of existing companies, projects development management, financing and construction.

His leadership skills continue to produce strong, profitable growth while planning for long sustained business success in the years to come, still encouraging and allowing his team to use their initiative, accepting their suggestions, but all times being there to guide and support them.

Group Legal Advisor

Mr. Ahmed comes to MOBH with more than 15 years of Legal experience in large organizations throughout the U.A.E and GCC region & a track record of establishing & turning around legal departments within organizations. He holds a Master’s Degree in Law, he is also a member of the Damascus Bar Association and Emirates Lawyers & Legal Association. Mr. Ahmed joined MOBH on 03rd November 2014.

Abdo S Kayali
General Manager – Bin Haider Hospitality

Kayali, a Syrian national, gained his education in the UK at Cavendish College, London, and Graduated in Language of French Civilization from INSTITUE INTERNATIONAL D’ETUDES FRANCAISES Rambouillet – France and EMBA from MIC (Management Institute of Canada).

Kayali has 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, was trained in Paris at Le Royal Monceau Hotel, Raffles Paris in 1991, and has extensive experience across Europe & Middle East and Africa in the hospitality commercial and development with Sales and Marketing strategies, as well as a vast branding exposure, along with various Hotel & Food & Beverage concepts representations.

Kayali was In charge of representing a unique group of hotels including InterContinental Hotel Geneva and Imperial Hotel Vienna (Luxury Collection) and Ritz Carlton Budapest, and supported Marriott & Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the region and advisory for hotel owners for asset management.

In addition, Kayali also held the position of Chairman Advisor and Managing Director of Dynamic Hospitality, including creation of first Saudi international Cuisine concept "Hatun Cuisine "in five star hotel.

Kayali’s regional experience includes successful stints in various prestigious hotels such as Sheraton Jeddah Hotels & Villas ( Luxury Collection) in 1991 & SHERATON CLUB DES PINS RESORT& TOWERS ALGER (Algeria) in 1999 as Director of Sales and Marketing, with additional assignments in Kuwait at Le Meridien Hotel and in Saudi Arabia at the Hilton Jeddah Hotel , as well as the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh Kingdom Centre.

Kayali's local UAE experience spanned from a high-pressure role, as Director of Business Development and in-charge for Emirates Palace Kempinski Hotel to Mövenpick Bur Dubai Hotels & Apartments and Al Manzil and Qamardeen (Vida) Downtown – Burj KhalifaDubai, Southern Sun Group (Emaar Hospitality) and with Kempinski at The Palm Jumeirah Hotel & Residences.

Kayali joined in 2012 -2014 the Government of Qatar in delivering the vision of development for Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Al Rayyan Hospitality in Doha, where he held the position of Group Director of Sales & Marketing; during his tenure, he oversaw eight boutique hotels owned by the Government of Qatar and an additional two under development, as well as The Adria Boutique Hotel In London –UK.

Kayali In 1998, was also named the Leading Director of Sales for Sheraton Hotels.

In 2001 he taught Hotels & Tourism programmes at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. & board committee member of Domestic Tourism for Jeddah Chamber of Commerce& Industry - Saudi Arabia 1989-1993.

Senior Manager Corporate Affairs

On completing his schooling in the UAE in 1988, Mr. Kitbi joined the Sharjah Civil Defense Police where he worked for the next 10 years. In 1999, he retired from Civil Defense and joined Sheikh Zayed Hunting Ranches in Morocco as Administration Officer. In 2002, Mr. Kitbi joined the Group as Government Relationship Manager with additional responsibility of Public Relationship Manager of Holiday Inn Sharjah, a hotel owned by the Group. Mr. Kitbi deals primarily with various governmental Agencies and departments on behalf of the Group. In recognition of his performance, in 2013, Mr. Kitbi was promoted to the Group’s Senior Manager – Corporate Affairs.

Purchasing Manager

Mr. Shadi Al Ali has a bachelor degree in economics and business management with CPP and CPPM from American purchasing society, with more than 12 years of experience procurement and logistics, has started his professional career with Syrian General Building Company as an accountant/administrator. He also worked as an assistant procurement manager at one of the largest industrial companies established in Jeddah before he joined Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Group in 2008.

Finance Manager

Mr. Alexander is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant with over 18 years of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He began his professional career with the global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. He later joined the British–Dutch multinational Unilever. In 1998, he joined International Business Group (IBG), a Bahrain based multinational investment group, as Group Director of Finance.

During his tenure with IBG, he advised the group on its various investment acquisitions, restructurings, and exits. In 2004, he joined Specialized Projects Co, a leading Saudi Arabia based conglomerate having interest in infrastructure development, contracting, and direct investments, as its Chief Financial Officer. In 2008, Mr. Alexander moved to the UAE and after having worked as Group Finance Manager of Aber Group, an Abu Dhabi based property development and financial services group; he joined MOBH Group as its Finance Manager in 2011.

Manager MOBH Engineering and Contracting

Mr. Abdulrahim has a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology Baghdad and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mustansiriya University Baghdad. He is a member of the UAE Engineering Society and Iraqi Engineering Organization. He has more than 27 years of experience, of which 14 years in Iraq and 13 years in the UAE. His expertise lies in the construction sector both as a contractor and a consultant with specialization in high rise buildings. He started his Professional career with Air Force Directorate in Iraq in 1985. In 1993, he joined Al Edreesy Centre for Engineering Consultancy in Iraq. In 1999, Mr. Abdulrahim moved to the UAE where he joined Al Salmee Construction Contracting Company as Projects Manager where he was responsible for high rise buildings. Later on, he joined Arif & Bintoak Consulting Architects & Engineering in 2005 as Resident Engineer and Project Manager supervising the construction of residential, offices, and hotel apartment buildings. In 2008, he joined Bruce Henderson Architects as Projects Manager where he was responsible for supervising construction of high rise buildings, residential, offices, and multi-purpose buildings. Mr. Abdulrahim joined MOBH Group’s Engineering and Contracting subsidiary in 2010 as Projects Manager and has since been managing its various construction projects such as hotels, offices, and labour camps.
